Kamasutra guide on types of Embraces
Kamasutra assumes implicitly that union occurs with the consent of the partners. Vatsayana writes that there are twelve different types of embraces. Embrace is a physical act in which partners put arms around each others to express show their love and as a signal for intimacy, foreplay and to enhance passion and connection during the union. They are broadly categorised as a. Mild embrace b. Twining embrace and c. Intense embrace.
a. Mild Embrace

Touching embrace involves brushing of bodies lightly in publish as a subtle show of affection and intimacy. The finger tips or nails can graze the skin teasingly, known as piercing embrace. Rubbing embrace involves sliding against each other during a night wakj. Finally the pressing embrace involves firm pressing of bodies against each other
b. Twining Embrace

Twining embrace imitates nature just like a yoga pose involving a vine wrapping a tree. The lovers embrace tightly as the heads meet for a kiss while standing. Another pose involves intimate twining of arms and thighs on bed and bodies grind against each other.
c. Intense Embrace

These are embraces that happen during intercourse. Thigh embrace involves tight clasping of legs by ones thighs to enhance pleasure. Grinding of lower belly embrace with biting during intercourse. Breast embrace involves tight crush of breasts during intercourse. Finally the forehead embrace happens during climax involving the union of foreheads, eyes and mouths indicating the final satisfying climax of the lovers
